Commandant Muhammadu NB Dansadau Commends former Cooperative Chairman DSC Sunday Haruna and EXCOs for Exemplary Service Delivery

 





The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Kaduna State Command, Commandant Muhammadu NB Dansadau, has commended the remarkable contributions of the outgoing Chairman of the NSCDC Credit and Thrift Cooperative Society, DSC Sunday Haruna, and his executive team for their dedication and exemplary leadership throughout their tenure.

In a statement by SC 
Musa Labaran (CDPRO), NSCDC Kaduna State Command said the Commandant Dansadau — represented by the Deputy Commandant (2i/c), DC Kalu Ndukwe who stated this, at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) and the election of new executives held at the NSCDC Kaduna State Command Headquarters,  lauded the achievements of the outgoing leadership, attributing their success to unity and teamwork.

“These accomplishments are a testament to our unity and teamwork,” he stated. “I am proud of what we have built together.”

Looking to the future, the Commandant urged continued pursuit of excellence and reaffirmed his commitment to fostering a supportive and empowering environment for all members.

“Looking ahead, I believe we have the opportunity to further improve this command and maintain its status as the ‘Champion Command.’ I remain committed to fostering an environment where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the Corps’ growth and development.”

Addressing the conduct of the cooperative elections, he emphasized the importance of discipline and decorum.

“Discipline remains the cornerstone of our service. Therefore, this election must be conducted with utmost credibility and transparency. No act of cowardice or thuggery will be tolerated,” he cautioned.

In his welcome address, outgoing Chairman DSC Sunday Haruna expressed gratitude for a successful tenure, highlighting significant milestones, including a rise in membership from 700 to 1,380 as of April 10, 2025.
He noted key achievements under his administration, including:

Distribution of over 300 motorcycles to members

Provision of direct Belgium vehicles for member car ownership — a first in the society’s history

Regular distribution of food items to support members’ families

Introduction of accounting software to enhance record-keeping and ensure transparency

Haruna also expressed deep appreciation for the support of the society’s Patron, Commandant Muhammadu NB Dansadau, and praised the executive team for their hard work, sincerity, and dedication, which, he said, underpinned the successes recorded during his four-year tenure
