AIG MARGARET OCHALLA BAGS NATIONAL CRIMEWATCH LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Her outstanding leadership and dedicated service to the Nigeria police and country Nigeria has earned her the prestigious title of female Assistant Inspector General of police. Having previously served as commissioner of police, Police Special Fraud Unit, Milverton, her remarkable track record demonstrates her dedication to the force and her passion for justice. 

Among AIG Ochalla’s notable achievements as Force Gender Coordinator, is her role in the reactivation of the online reporting platform (http://www. fciidgender.net), offering victims a confidential platform to report cases of SGBV (Sexual and Gender-Based Violence) and related crimes. 

AIG Ochalla’s dedication to gender inclusivity and safety is evident in her establishment of Police Gender Desks in all tertiary institutions across Nigeria. As a tireless advocate for gender equality and child protection, AIG Ochalla authored a book titled “Understanding Child and Gender Protection for a Better Society.” This publication serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, law enforcement agencies, and individuals seeking to promote a safer and more equitable society. 

As a global advocate on gender affairs, AIG Ochalla was conferred with the Ambassadorial Award by Global Gender Safety and Moral Development, and she received the prestigious Female Humanitarian of the Year award from the esteemed Hall of Fame. The Sheik of Dubai personally presented her with the Global Women Hall of Fame (CELD), further emphasising her impact on a global scale.
