NSCDC COMMANDANT GENERAL SPECIAL INTELLIGENCE SQUAD ARRESTED THREE SUSPECTS FOR ILLEGALLY REFINING CRUDE OIL AT UMUODO, UMUAJULOKE OF RIVER STATE

 




At about 1635hrs of Friday, 12th July 2024, based on credible Intelligence, tip-off made available to the NSCDC Commandant General Intelligence Squad (CG's SIS) on an alleged illegal oil bunkering activities going on inside an artisanal oil refinery at Umuodo, UMUAJULOKE Community in Omuma Local Government Area of River State 

The CG's SIS operatives swung into action, on arriving at the crime scene, multiple local drum ovens with illegal refining processing ongoing at the crime scene, large quantity of illegally refined petroleum products suspected to be AGO, were also discovered to had been stored inside metallic drums, cellophane nylons, bowls and very large quantity of syphoned crude oil was also stored inside the illegal refining sites.


The following suspects, all females were arrested in connection to the illegal dealings in petroleum products at the crime scene, Happiness Nwankwo, 45 years old, Nnoma Nwankwo, 30 years old and Favour Amadi, 30 years old, all indigene of Omuma Local Government Area of River State.



The following exhibits were recovered,
1. Oven drums containing stolen and syphoned crude oil undergoing illegal processing 
2. Large quantities of stolen crude oil packaged inside different sizes of industrial hoses being used to tap into the well-heads to steal stolen crude oil 
3. Large quantities of stolen crude oil stored inside cellophane bags and Cans
4. Several metal and plastic buckets
5. Wheel barrows
6. Shovels
7. Galvanized metal pipes etc
