LSSTF BOARD MEMBER, AYO OGUNSAN FELICITATES WITH NEW AIGs, TELLS THEM ‘NOT TO RELENT ON EFFORTS’

The Board member of the Lagos State Security Trust Fund (LSSTF), Dr. Ayo Ogunsan has felicitated with the Commissioners of Police who have been elevated to the new rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in the latest mega promotions within the Nigeria Police. The list of the new AIGs includes Ari Mohammed Ali, Jonathan Towuru, Mathew Akinyosola, Oyediran Adesoye Oyeyemi, Yekini Adio Ayoku, Frank Mba, Akande Sikiru Kayode, Sylvester Abiodun Alabi, Mamman Sanda Umar among others.

This promotion came in yesterday for the senior police officers in recognition of their unflagging commitment to the service and protection of internal security in Nigeria.

In his felicitation message to the new AIGs, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan noted that ‘the newly promoted AIGs have distinguished themselves in terms of capacity and competence over the years. Their due diligence, community-driven policing style, patriotism, and leadership initiatives have ensured that they grew in leaps and bounds in the service to fatherland through the Nigeria Police.’

‘I enjoin them to continue to demonstrate excellence in policing ideology, dedication to service, and administrative competence.’

‘They should not relent in their efforts at guaranteeing that Nigerians can move freely by day and sleep with their eyes closed at night. I pray for strength and capacity for them all’, Ogunsan concluded. the 24 CPs that were promoted to AIG rank yesterday. While AIG Sylvester Abiodun Alabi is the acting AIG in charge of Zone 2 (Lagos and Ogun states); AIG Akande Sikiru Kayode is the acting AIG in charge of Zone 11 Osogbo; AIG Jonathan Towuru is the acting AIG in charge of Zone 6 Calabar; and AIG Mathew Akinyosola is the acting AIG in charge of Police Mobile Force.

Others are AIG Ari Mohammed Ali is the Commissioner of Police in Delta state; AIG Frank Mba is the Commissioner of Police in Ogun state; AIG Yekini Adio Ayoku is the Commissioner of Police in Kaduna state; AIG Mamman Sanda Umar is the Commissioner of Police, Nigerian Ports Authority, Lagos; and AIG Oyediran Adesoye Oyeyemi is the Commissioner of Police in Ondo state.
