Police Arrest Fake EFCC Operative In Lagos

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested one Emeka Emmanuel ‘male’ 29yrs old of Ijaniki, Lagos at iyana Iba area. The suspect was said to be in possession of a fake EFCC ID card which he uses in parading himself as an EFCC operative.

According to Bala Elkana, spokesman of the Command, the suspect had duped innocent citizens under the pretense of providing them employment with the EFCC as operatives.
“One Olaposi Semiu ‘male’ of Agbara, Lagos who is one of such victims told Police investigators that the suspect collected the sum of N51,000 from him over a month ago with a promise of securing employment for him as an EFCC operative”
Further,  the suspect has confessed to the crime and was also found operating illegal medical facility in his residence. Other items recovered include medical equipment and fake certificates.
The Commissioner of police, Lagos State command, Zubairu Muazu advised members of the Public, especially job seekers to be mindful of the activities of such job scammers in order not to fall prey of their antics.
“Investigation is ongoing and the suspect will be charged to Court” Elkana concluded.
