POLICE ARRESTED 4 SUSPECTED PERSONS ALLEGED FOR VANDALISING AND STEALING MTN INSTALLATIONS
The Lagos police command arrested and paraded four suspected
persons alleged to have vandalized and stole MTN installations
CP Edgar who inform journalist on the 23th of July during the
Monday press briefing at the Lagos state police headquater. Edgar said
information was received from a credible source that MTN installation at mowo,
Badagry had been vandalized by four men suspected to be robbers. The men were
said to be good at stealing equipment, reacting promptly to the information.
Edgar dispatch a decoy team to monitor the facility. Their effort paid off when
they intercepted a white Mazda Bus with Registration NO MUS 175 XW with five occupants
in front of Arena shopping complex, oshodi Lagos.
Names of the suspects arrest are as follows: [1] Monday Ogbonna
‘’male’’ aged 40 years, [2] Banji Akanni ‘’male’’ aged 42 years, [3] Sunday
Odewale ‘’male’’ aged 51 years and [4]
Anthony Ibe ‘’male’’ aged 30 years.
The vehicle was searched and 16 pieces of inverter batteries
were recovered from the vehicle.
Other exhibits recovered from the suspect are as follows :
[1] Mazda Bus with Registration NO MUS 175 XW, white colour [2] Toyota Hilux
Van with Reg No. KTU 658 EW, Navy blue colour sixteen pieces of inverter
batteries. Edgar said suspects will be charged to court as soon as the
investigation is over.
