Man arrested for attempted robbery in Suleja
The police crack squad team attached to ‘A’ Divisional
Headquarters in Suleja have arrested a man for attempting to rob.
According to police source, the 27-year-old suspect, Salisu
Kabiru of Chichinia, Kaduna Road, Suleja, yesterday broke into a shop
located at the back of First Bank, Suleja, to steal unknown to him that
there was somebody in the shop. With the help of residents, he was
caught and handed over the police crack team in Suleja.
Investigation by The AUTHORITY revealed that the suspect had
just been released from a reformed home in Kaduna where he spent three
years. While at the remand home, he got skilled in carpentry only to
return and go back to his criminal act.
During a chat with our correspondent, the suspect confessed to
the crime saying that he never knew he would be caught because he had a
charm that he believed was guiding him.
Items recovered from him include some set of tools, charms,
among others. Investigation into the matter is still ongoing.
