4 persons burnt to death on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Four persons were yes­terday burnt to death on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway following an ac­cident involving an IVECO Truck and a Toyota bus be­longing to G. Agofure Mo­tors. The bus with LND 991 XN had burst into flames, injuring 12 other persons.
Both the bus and the truck, NSR 213ZD, were heading to Lagos when the accident happened around Mowe in Ogun State, lead­ing to traffic gridlock, on both sides of the road.
According to the Ogun State Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Mr Clement Ol­adele, all the injured have been taken to the Re­deemed Church of Christ Hospital.
Although Oladele said the FRSC personnel and other traffic and emergen­cy agencies were trying to untangle the gridlock, he advised motorists to use alternate routes out of and into Lagos.-The Authority
