Man sexually assaults 9-year-old boy in Katsina

A 45-year-old man identified as Sani Ibrahim has been ar­rested by the Katsina State Police Command for sexu­ally abusing a 9-year-old school boy after luring him with N20 in the state.

Addressing newsmen in the state, the State Com­missioner of Police, Usman Ali Abdullahi disclosed that the 45-year-old man, who sells cow head, committed the act around the Katsina State Central Police Station, Kofar Soro.

Abdullahi said the sus­pect was arrested following a tip-off, adding that inves­tigation was ongoing, after which he would be charged to court.

According to him, “The boy leaves his house to go to school everyday. But in­formation got to his dad that when the boy gets to school, he goes out of the school.

“Then the father asked him of where he normally goes to. The boy opened up to his dad that there is a man who stops him on his way to school. He takes him into a place and uses him through his anus and he gives him N20.

“We have arrested the man. We were told the man sells cow head.bInvestiga­tions are ongoing and very soon he will be taken to court.”?- The Authority
