C'River Assembly condemns herdsmen's attack on community
The Cross River State House of Assembly has condemned the recent attack on the people of Ubio Usere, a community in Eniong, Odukpani Local Government Area by Fulani herdsmen which left one person dead.
The assembly members who deliberated on the issue at its plenary as a matter of urgent public interest resolved that the state government and the Commissioner of Police should immediately dispatch security apparatus to the affected area while the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) should be directed to visit the area and render assistance to the people.
The House further resolved that the relevant House Committee and the State Security Adviser should visit the community with a view to resolving the matter. The Authority
